So we had a fun trip to Disneyland a couple weeks ago. Cameron was good in the car, (thanks to a portable DVD player) and didn't have any potty accidents the whole time!! Which is a miracle, just so you know. He had 3 yesterday.....

Cameron was so excited to go on the Matterhorn and see the Abominable Snow Monster, and he loved the ride and even put his hands up! He went on it twice. He also liked the Finding Nemo submarine ride, Winnie the Pooh, and seeing the real Lightning McQueen and Mater (I even thought it was pretty cool). He liked Soarin' Over California the second time, and we figured out after a while he didn't like the rides that were inside buildings. So he never went on Space Mountain, and we had to pretty much force him onto Peter Pan, which of course he realized was way fun after it was over. The weather was really nice 2 out of the 3 days. The other day it was a little chilly and foggy, and of course that was the day I wore shorts; oh well.

We also got to stop and Lori and Chris's house for a night, and had a good time. We had a very delicious dinner and breakfast with them and then had to be on our way again. It was fun to see them, even if it was for such a short time.

Well all the festivities are over, huh?

We had a nice and simple Christmas, so it was good. I think we'll keep it up. :) Cameron got just a couple things from us (and Santa) and it sure saves a lot of money if you don't go all out. Plus, he didn't need anything anyway! He got his blue helicopter, some remote control cars, and books from us, and from the Spencers and Davies fams got some more toys, clothes, cars--still quite a haul! He loves all of it and has been playing with it whenever he can.

I got a cute little waterfall from Aaron (I've always wanted one) and I (oops, I mean Santa) got Aaron a remote control airplane. He's still waiting to fly it because of all the snow, and we don't have a church key or anything to go somewhere indoors. I think it will be fun though.

Also we went sledding a few days before Christmas; Cameron was with Aaron, his cousin Joseph and uncle Doug.

We had a good New Year's Eve with my mom, dad, and Kar, and watched "Horton Hears A Who" which is weird but funny!

Aaron and I went and saw "Betime Stories" the other night--it's really funny. I haven't laughed that hard in a movie for a long time! (At least not since Get Smart.) I'd recommend it.

Our big news is that we are being REALLY spontaneous and going to Disneyland next week!! We are so excited. Cameron is tall enough to go on pretty much all the rides except Indiana Jones, so we're gonna do it. Yes, believe it or not, he's 41 inches tall. Wow! He's looking forward to the Matterhorn, because it has the Abominable Snow Monster in it (he loves Rudolph). Woohoo! We're doing a Park Hopper thing so we'll get to go to California Adventure also, which Aaron and I haven't gone to for 4 or 5 years. There are some way fun rides there too! I'm also excited to go to my favorite Mexican restaurant, discovered when we were in CA for Libby's wedding, called El Torito. Yum!

This is experimental; I've never tried to do a blog post all by myself.....We'll see how it goes. And it will be pretty sporadic with my postings, because I feel like we have nothing to write about! We don't do that much, nothing out of the ordinary ever happens, and I'm not very wordy so it will be hard to come up with something to say!

Anyways, last week was my piano recital, and it went really well! I was happy. All the kids did great, one of them looked like he was ready to hurl he was so nervous, and Cameron played a song too.

Then last Saturday we went up to Temple Square, but we forgot to take our camera. So no pictures. But we also went to the Flink (Aaron's mom's side) Christmas party up in Ogden and Aaron's sister took a picture for us when Cameron sat on Santa's lap. He asked for a blue helicopter (as in, a little Matchbox toy helicopter that cost $2!). Maybe we'll take back the other stuff we got. :)
